Red Sided Eclectus:_ The Red-sided Eclectus originates from the large island of New Guinea. It was first described by Scopoli in 1786 and was the first subspecies to be described. The Eclectus Parrot is a dimorphic species where the female's are red and blue and the male's are emerald green with a candy corn beak. The Eclectus male or female can make an excellent pet, they are independent birds but still crave the attention they get from their human flock.Singing Pines
